Cornwall loses member of well-respected family

CORNWALL, Ontario

A member of a well-respected Cornwall family has died. Therese Emard, beloved wife of former Cornwall Royals owner Paul Emard, passed away yesterday morning in Summerstown. She had been ill recently. The 73-year-old leaves behind her husband, three daughters, Lise, Anne-Marie and Diane, and many grandchildren. Paul Emard was the former owner of, what are now, the Corus Radio stations Variety 104.5 and CJSS-FM. Visitation will be held at Lahaie and Sullivan on Seventh Street West in Cornwall this afternoon from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. until the funeral. The service is being held at Nativity Co-Cathedral on Montreal Road at 11 a.m.
