Cooler overnight temperatures in Cornwall and SD&G are temporary: Environment Canada
The recent drop in overnight temperatures could have you thinking about an early fall. However, Environment Canada says the colder weather is because of a low pressure system entrenched over the James Bay area mixed with a large high pressure area over central North America. That mix is known as a Cold Low and it's funneling cooler temperatures into Central and Eastern Ontario. Looking at the long-term forecast, Mawson says they're forecasting warmer than usual temperatures into the fall.
