Cooler overnight temperatures in Cornwall and SD&G are temporary: Environment Canada

The recent drop in overnight temperatures could have you thinking about an early fall. However, Environment Canada says the colder weather is because of a low pressure system entrenched over the James Bay area mixed with a large high pressure area over central North America. That mix is known as a Cold Low and it's funneling cooler temperatures into Central and Eastern Ontario. Environment Canada spokesperson Randy Mawson tells TheCornwallDaily.com, don't hold your breath, the cool temperatures will be gone soon. (Play Audio). Looking at the long-term forecast, Mawson says they're forecasting warmer than usual temperatures into the fall.
